MAINTAIN MIDVALE’S HISTORIC CHARM
As a city, we need to find balance between honoring our historic charm and our current housing and business needs. This includes identifying the best places for higher density housing as well as providing proper supportive infrastructure and recreational possibilities. Established neighborhoods need to feel just as supported and maintained as new developments entering the city, and historic Midvale Main needs ongoing attention and work to make it the heartbeat of our city once again.
MAINTAIN PUBLIC SAFETY
Midvale residents deserve the best that public safety has to offer. With the legislative reorganization to Unified Police Department forced upon us by the Legislature, there is no time like the present. We have a good framework in place, and now is the time to improve upon the UPD model and enact better cost controls and oversight. Public safety is a major line item on our city’s budget, and we need to make sure that it meets our city’s needs in every way possible.
DIVERSITY
Midvale is home to a great and diverse population, and I understand that each individual is unique and recognize the importance of our individual differences. I hope to honor these differences by increasing the level of teamwork and performance through a broadened base of knowledge and experience. A culturally diverse city offers more depth and understanding, and I hope to be a much needed voice of this diversity.
